“The Sensorial Imagination: Writing Pleasure & The Body” is a writing workshop that invites participants to bring all of their senses to the writing process. When we write from a place of connection to our own bodies we intuitively bring pleasure to the writing experience. In this workshop, I offer participants creative ways to engage the senses (and even some ways of knowing that we don’t usually call “senses”!) and offer unique writing prompts to reconnect us to a sense of pleasure in writing.

While “pleasure” is a part of the workshop description, I should note that there will be no part of the workshop that is explicitly about sex. Even though the minimum age to participate is 18, I am mindful of the fact that Afri-Love is family friendly so all content is designed to be experienced in public, i.e. no sexual content.
